In my first session with Julie she took me down a set of stairs, old stairs, sturdy stairs down to a room that I know and love and feel comfortable in. In each of our sessions she took me down these same set of stairs. I found that before my sessions I knew I was going to be taken down these stairs. At first I didn't know these stairs and this room but with each session I found it more and more comforting and familiar. And now, when I need a mind-break I find a peaceful place and I recall this set of stairs in my mind's eye. I take myself down these stairs and to the special safe and wonderful room I've created in my head. I love this little room in my brain. It relaxes me and I use it when I feel overwhelmed. - it's my happy place!"
